However, technicians may inadvertently come across data during the course of their work. The customer is responsible for removing any confidential or sensitive data from the device prior to having repair services performed.

Please note that if you are receiving services at your home or another location, the service provider may be able to view anything visible in your home, including personal information.

For services such as technology consultations or in-home repairs, with your consent, the service provider may need to access your device to perform tasks requested by you, such as adjusting settings, backing up your data, or providing technology setup or advice.

MobileTechXpress implements industry-standard security measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of your personal information. However, we recommend that customers take additional steps to protect their devices, such as ensuring that passwords or security codes are active and that sensitive data is not left unsecured on the device.

Additionally, the service provider may need to take photographs of your device to document its condition before and after repairs. Please be aware that any information displayed on your device or visible in the surrounding environment may appear in these photographs.

Data Loss Disclaimer

MobileTechXpress is not liable for any loss of data that may occur as a result of work performed on your device. The customer is solely responsible for backing up data, and for ensuring that confidential information is deleted, encrypted, or otherwise protected from unauthorized access prior to repair services. MobileTechXpress will not back up or restore any data and is not responsible for any data that is lost, corrupted, or compromised during the repair process. Furthermore, MobileTechXpress does not consider the data on your device to be confidential and disclaims any obligation to treat it as such.

Data Collection

When you visit our website, our servers automatically collect certain information from your device or computer, including:

  • IP address
  • Information automatically sent by your browser
  • Any information you voluntarily provide.

All information you provide is stored securely on our servers, or as otherwise requested by you. Your credit/debit card information is stored in a payment processor’s physically secure data center using industry-standard encryption protocols.

  • Mailing address

  • Cell phone number
  • Electronic Serial Number (ESN) or International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number
  • Device information, such as serial number or Media Access Control (MAC) address

  • Payment card information provided during the purchase of our services

We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law. Upon completion of your service or request, your data will be securely deleted, except where legally required to retain it for a certain period.

MobileTechXpress does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it as soon as possible.

When you submit a request, we provide your name, billing address, and credit/debit card information to our payment processor for validation and payment. When processing your order for shipping, we only use your name, shipping address, and email address to complete the shipment.

In the event arbitration or mediation is unsuccessful, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Harris County, Texas for resolution of any remaining disputes.
